YAY.
Its been 10 years since the hijacking of planes and the collapse of the twin towers. I want to start out by saying, I truly am sorry for the families that have lost a loved one. A mother or father, brother or sister, daughter or son. But by the end of this video you will not think so. This tragedy is horrendously over publicized. Hurricane Katrina, Japan’s earthquakes and tsunamis, hati earthquake, the tsunami from India. You don’t see people dramatizing those events. And do you know why? For the most part, the victims were not Americans. I know for a fact, that Japan is STILL in need, but yet, no ones still mourning. We’ve moved on. And then we have hurricane Katrina. One of the worst disasters Americans have seen. To my knowledge, they have JUST recently rebuilt New Orleans. There another reason why it is not in the spotlight. There’s no enemy to blame but Mother Nature. We cannot HATE Mother Nature. It’s just something that happens right? Well shit happens all the time. People are constantly dying. We are not the only ones who have witnessed a disaster. I mean, its just… stupid seeing all these status updates on facebook or all these videos on youtube, all these audio recordings, gifs, pictures on tumblr about tributes. Nothing will change by crying about such a horrific event. No one will be saved by this… as a nation, yes we shall remember, but we shall not attempt to avenge. We shall forgive. An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind. 9/11 was caused by a group of terrorists. Not by a religion. A group does not speak for all. Not all Muslims were responsible for this act of terror. Are Americans really so ignorant as to blame and question all Muslims? The Florida pastor who burned the qu’rans. Was that justified? No! Its one of the reasons why the whole world hates Americans! Because we’re so damn ignorant and arrogant! I posted something on facebook about there being greater atrocities committed against certain races or religious groups and you know what she responded with? I shit you not, this is what they wrote, and I quote
“Really? You people are really heartless. All those people lost their lives trying to protect your freedom, …i’m talking about what all this caused. The war, where soilders are dying on a daily basis trying to pratect us. And what about the people on flight 93 who fought aggiants the terriorist? They did that trying to proctect people like you, who then disrespect them after their died… its for the lives lost and to remember those who battled to help and to unite as a country against the terror”
okay that’s the words of two different Americans. With multiple spelling errors and grammatical errors.keep that in mind.
1. ummm… people on the plane were passengers. Innocent civilians that were merely traveling. There may have been soldiers but for the most part, they were CIVILIANS on that plane. They had no part in “protecting our freedom” they did not die protecting our country.
2. We did not have to go to war. we STARTED a war because of this. It is our own fault. We saw this act of terror as a perfect excuse for the president to invade a country on the basis that iraq had weapons of mass destruction. When in reality, we just wanted their oil.
3. the brave men of flight 93. They were fighting for their LIVES it can be merited that they were preventing the hijackers from causing maybe a hundred to a thousand more deaths. And in a way, they succeeded. By crashing into a field. But these men were not protecting “people like me” they were protecting the men on that flight and an unknown destination.
By the way, these two charming ladies called me and other people who sided with me “foreign” ladies, my English is better than yours is. I was born and raised in America.
Now I want to talk about other disasters/atrocities committed by humans and not Mother Nature. There have been other, much more atrocious acts committed by humans and you don’t hear any Americans talk about that. Rarely are the victims of the Taiwanese 228 massacre or Armenian, Rwandian, and Darfurian genocides commemorated. You don’t see people mourning the victims of the genocide or holocaust of Jews, mentally ill, “politically incorrect” and gays under the rule of Stalin and Hitler. These humans were all sent to death camps or extermination camps and the world sat back and watched.
Lets review the death tolls shall we?
228 : 30,000 then came years of martial law and the suppression of innocent people.
Darfurian: 300,000-330,000
Rwandian 500,000 – 1 million
Armenian: 2,000,000
Stalin: 7 million
Hitler: around 10 million.
And now, the big ones Uncle Sam has committed. The dropping of atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and let us not forget the Japanese internment camps. These bombings were specifically planned out to target huge urban cities that contained large amounts of women and children. Combined, the death tolls amount to around 200,000 not including those inflicted with radiation poisoning who may die later and are inflicted with cancer, tumors, and other deformities.
So really. 3000 Americans dead by cause of Muslim extremists vs, 200,000 innocent Japanese citizens killed by our bombs. Are we really better than them?
Yes, these 3000 Americans were a great loss, but compare it to how much others have suffered. Something to think about.
